Horse Trekking
Horse Trekking – €50 per person (1 hour)
Explore the beauty of the forest on horseback with a guided trekking experience. Suitable for all abilities — from complete beginners to experienced riders — and available for anyone aged 12 years and up. An experienced guide will accompany you on a scenic trail, making it a safe and enjoyable adventure for everyone.
Lead Rein Rides – €40 per person (40 minutes)
A gentle introduction to horse riding, perfect for beginners of all ages from 7 years and up. Our friendly staff lead the horse or pony on foot, guiding you through a peaceful route at a relaxed pace. Ideal for building confidence and enjoying a first-time experience with horses.
The Enchanted Forest
- €5 per child (ages 2–12): Entry to the forest
- €2.50 per adult
Deep in the woods there is a hidden grove of native trees by a flowing stream where the fairies, gnomes and trolls live together with the animals of the wood.

The Enchanted Forest is a short 10-15 minute walk from The Slieve Aughty Centre.
Pony Rides to the Enchanted Forest - €25 per person
Pony Rides to the Enchanted Forest are for children ages 4-12 only.
Let one of our staff take your little boy or girl for a pony ride to the Enchanted Forest – a short ride on a quiet pony with someone leading the entire way.
This is a one-way taxi – the pony ride stops at the gates of the Enchanted Forest and drops you off there to enjoy and explore and walk back on your own time.
Designed as a family activity, parents/guardians walk alongside.
The Family Experience includes access to the craft room, playground, animals and a pack for the Enchanted Forest.

- Check out all the options on the calendar.
- Choose single lessons, 5 class stablecards, or 10 class stablecards.
- 5 and 10-class stablecards are discounted rates.
- Sibling cards are offered at a discount for families.
- Book up to 6pm the evening before the day of the riding lesson.
- Cancellations 24 hours before the day of the lesson automatically refund to your stablecard to be used for another date.
- Cancellations within 24 hours forfeit your fee.
- Stablecards expire 3 months from purchase.
- Please note we do not cancel horse riding for inclement weather.
